The records of inspections conducted by the Department of Nature Conservation and the Department of Environmental Quality, at the behest of ANSE complaints in October 2005 showed that the golf course was irrigated with water from the additional wells Tajo-Segura and a desalination plant illegal, and not to those of municipal sewage.

The Directorate General of Environmental Quality finally solved a penalty of 18,000 € (penalty for two serious violations and grave), which was justified by "the concealment or distortion of the data needed for environmental impact assessment or environmental qualification" and " initiation or execution of works, projects and activities without license or authorization or without complying with the environmental conditions imposed by the environmental assessment or environmental impact statement. "
The former mayor of Los Alcazares, Juan Escudero, signed a contract with the owner of "Villa El Palmero" in Torre Pacheco, dated November 15, 2005 (one month after filing the complaint ANSE) for assignment Annual up to 20,000 m3 for irrigation.
The Association reported that in no case be considered the golf course irrigation as "public supply", but as recreational or tourist industry.
In addition, the Environmental Impact Statement required the use of treated water.
Where did all the water (approx. 450,000 m3) needed for watering the golf course?.
