The general director of Sports, Antonio Peñalver, today introduced the finals of Beach Soccer Spain, included in the Revitalization Plan del Mar Menor Sports, held from tomorrow until Sunday 13 September.
This event will bring together some 500 athletes on the beach of Las Palmeras.
The presentation was attended by the mayor of Los Alcazares, Encarnación Gil, beach soccer national team, Joaquin Alonso, as well as sporting director of the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia, Jesus Rosauro, and CEO of Octagon ESED, Santiago Soler.
During the event also made the draw for the 36 teams participating.
Peñalver said that "the conclusion of this final has an important social dimension in terms of sports and for economic and tourist promotion of the Mar Menor."
He also stated pride in the development of sports and especially those who revolve around the Mar Menor which "provides great possibilities for sports even in winter time when European athletes spread throughout the world to train ".
The competition begins Friday morning at 13:30 hours and the final takes place on Sunday at 17:00, later held a friendly match between Spain and Italy, the party that will serve the national set-up to the World Cup held in Dubai from 16 to 22 November.
