The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment reported that all students in the region have joined today to their schools, thus regaining normalcy in the classroom, and even schools and secondary schools in the district of Cartagena and Mazarrón that yesterday suspended classes have resumed.
The only exception has been the IES in Los Alcazares, which has remained closed, preventively, as it is located in the vicinity of two wadis.
Due to heavy rains in the region yesterday suspended classes in more than twenty centers because of difficulties of access, and to ensure the safety of students.
In the area of Cartagena were suspended in six secondary schools and nine schools, plus public school in Pozo Estrecho, at the Conservatory of Music and the Official School of Languages in Cartagena.
In Mazarron closed two secondary schools and four colleges, and the IES 'The Cantos' of Bullas because of the problems that caused the lightning strike at the heart's electrical system.
