On 2 February the Popular Parliamentary Group filed a motion in the General Assembly urging the regional government to "request to the Commissioner General of the waters of Murcia to the construction of an open channel in the rural area" and "capacity sufficient drainage to avoid the risks of a new rainstorm "
To this request the City of Los Alcazares wishes to state that no action is required of the Regional Government as these steps have already been made and made and that the problem is being resolved.
Serve as a demonstration the chronology of the actions taken by the City for construction of the canal:
1 .- made a technical report dated October 8, 2009
2 .- The Mayor makes a proposal dated October 14, 2009
3 .- The Local Government Committee approved the proposal on October 20, 2009
4 .- Transfer to the Water Police on October 21, 2009
5 .- The cross-reference according to the Confederation October 23, 2009
6 .- Creation of a new needs assessment dated November 5, 2009.
7 .- Communication from the Segura basin to the Mayor for approval in the amount of € 500,000 in the week 25 to January 30, 2010.
8 .- Sending thank you letter to the Segura basin for the approval of the works on 2 February 2010.
9 .- Conversations with landowners with the technical services and the council of the area.
Week 1 to February 6, 2010.
The General Secretariat is working on an agreement to be signed with the owners.
Conclusions:
We appreciate the request of the Popular group but solving the problem is already solved.
