The Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has been delivered to 4,500 units of DTT to the regional government of Murcia for later distribution
The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, along with the mayor of Los Alcazares, Encarnación Gil, has delivered a number of decoders, digital terrestrial television (DTT) to the elders of the residence "The Palm of the Mar Menor."
So far, the Government Delegation in Murcia has distributed a total of 2,100 decoders in the Plan of Support Groups at Risk of Exclusion in the transition to DTT, launched by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade.
In this sense, González Tovar recalled that the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has also been delivered to 4,500 DTT decoders to the Autonomous Community of Murcia for subsequent delivery within the population that is eligible for government aid Spain.
Beneficiaries of DTT decoders
González Tovar reported that, besides being able to benefit people with visual or hearing impairment and overall degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, what can people who are over 65 years with known dependence of grade II or III and those over 80 who live alone or with another person who also exceeds this age, as well as those found in the homes of the elderly.
All can apply a single set-top box per household, if they have a home or have already received another grant from another agency.
The government delegate in Murcia, recalled that the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has been working through INTECO (National Institute of Communication Technology) in development for provision of equipment manufacturers, application enabling serve the needs of these groups.
